1. Why did you decide to join Foster Wheeler?
I was working in Oman and I wanted to come back to India, to Kolkata, my home city. Foster Wheeler has a good brand name and has a good global presence. I was happy that there was finally an opportunity to work as part of a well-known global EPC contractor in my hometown.
2. What factors influenced your decision?
I knew that I was going to be one of the first joinees in the Kolkata office. The challenge of being a part of the start-up team responsible for building and growing a new office from scratch excited me.
3. What projects have you been involved in?
I have been involved in two key projects in Saudi Arabia on which we have worked. These projects also gave me an opportunity to get exposure to and induction into Foster Wheeler’s systems and processes at the Reading office, which is where work on these two projects was headquartered.
4. What does Foster Wheeler offer you in your career that the earlier organizations you worked with did not?
I think the opportunity that I have had here and still do have is to develop and build a large Instrumentation team has been unparalleled. In addition, the working atmosphere here is very friendly; there is a good spirit of teamwork and bonding. And above all, we have the freedom to execute our work within the overall organisational constraints.
